The International Textile and Apparel Association Annual Conference was held in Baltimore, Maryland on November 8-11, 2023. I had the honor of showcasing a design in the graduate category, and having research presentations from two pedagogy studies. Professor Chanjuan Chen presented our research with Dr. Hae Jin Gam entitled: Collaborative teaching for creative possibility: The combination of technology and construction. I presented my research (under my mentors Dr. Hae Jin Gam and Professor Chanjuan Chen): Using VR as a conceptual design tool in an apparel design classroom.
One of my students, Emmalyne Martin, from ADES 3550 (Fall 22) had her work Red Death accepted for exhibition in the undergraduate design category.
